Peter Lyon, Motor Journalist and Co-Chairman, World Car Awards

Born in Australia but based in Japan for over 30 years, bilingual motor journalist Peter Lyon currently writes for Forbes.com in English and Forbes Japan in Japanese. He also contributes to magazines including Car and Driver, Quattroruote and Auto Express. Peter co-hosts the car show ‘Samurai Wheels’ on Japan’s NHK World and authored a book on Japanese car culture ‘Thank-You-Hazard-Wa-Sekai-No-Ai-Kotoba’ in 2014.

He enjoys racing, placing 4th in class in the 2010 Nurburgring 24-hour race.
