Lars Falk began his career at Saab Design in Trollhättan Sweden. During this period, he had a one year assignment in GM Design in Warren Michigan where he was given the task to make interior designs for the Cadillac brand once back in Sweden.
From 2005 to 2015 Falk held several positions within Volvo Cars both with production and advanced design respectively. In 2011 Falk was asked by former Head of Volvo Design Mr Peter Horbury to plan- and establish an all-new Design satellite studio in Shanghai, China. A studio which Alt had 15 employees at the time when Falk left.
After completing 4 years in China – Falk and his family lived in the UK for two years, where Falk was working under Jaguar’s Mr Wayne Burgess. There Falk worked with the design of the award winning premium electrical car Jaguar I-pace.
After JLR Falk was recruited to Geely Design Europe. As Head of Interior Design and UX Design. He reports to SVP Mr Andreas Nilsson, whom he also reported to, while at Volvo Advanced Design back in 2009.
Falk graduated from University of Gothenburg, Sweden and he also attended the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, as well as Institute of Design in Umea, Sweden. Falk’s passion for car interiors goes back to the very reason for why he wanted to become a designer in the first place: To make user centred industrial design based on people’s needs.
